Nordic Walking in Newstead Abbey
It was Newstead's Spring Fair 20 May 2012
It was also National Nordic Walking Day The sun shone and a great time was had by all
Thanks to the generosity of Pip Bateman of the Holistic Health Team
there were training sessions for all with Nordic Walking poles provided
and the opportunity to enjoy the glorious surroundings of Newstead Abbey.

Eastwood Collieries' Male Voice Choir
Ravenshead Village Hall 27 November 2010
It snowed - a lot - but the choir made it and gave us a vocal treat. Our grateful thanks go to all of them for braving the weather and supporting us so well.

Swing into Christmas
Ravenshead Village Hall 5 December 2009
This year the roof of the Village Hall was lifted by the swing sound of the Chapel Park Big Band and their ensemble Silver Sax.

Brass Night at the Proms

The Village Hall reverberated to the sound of Bestwood Welfare Black Diamonds Bras Band and the massed voices of Ravenshead residents, friends and supporters from miles around.

Jazz Night
Longdale Craft Centre17 November 2007
This was an opportunity to enjoy a fine meal and great jazz from Sweet Chorus.
Thanks to all who supported the raffle and auction. Gordon Brown of Longdale Craft Centre kindly donated one of his sculpures from the 'Last of the Summer Wine' collection and Mills Music donated an acoustic guitar for the auction.
We also had a grat raffle thanks to the generous support of many local organisations.
Everyone had a great time - the main comment was 'when are you going to do this again!'
